Quiz

This shape was a little difficult to make because of the cylinder on the left side. What I decided to do was make a rectangle and add semi circles on the ends of it using the arc tool. I used the push/pull to make it 3-D and then measured each side. Afterwards, on added another semicircle to the semicircle on the left side of the shape, which resulted in a full circle. I pushed the rest of the shape downwards to 1/3 of its original height. I finished the shape by adding a rounded rectangle and a circle on the surface of the shape.

22. 12 Blocks With Precise Dimensions

Making these shapes required a lot of conceptual thinking. The first thing I did was make a 3 dimensional block, which was made with the rectangle tool and the push/ pull tool. I then used the measuring tool to  make sure the dimensions of the block were correct. I used the pencil tool and the measuring to tool to make the shapes in the block that were to be removed. Afterwards, I used the push/ pull tool to eliminate the shape from the block, leaving an empty area. I proceeded to do that for every missing piece in the block to make the shapes in these pictures. Making these shapes were fun because it was a challenging to do so.

21. Google Sketch Up

For this assignment, I made different shapes with the pencil, rectangle, and circle tools. To make the shapes 3-dimensional, I used the pull/push tool to add depth. I used the pencil tool to make the letters of my name too. For the R and the B, I used the arc tool to make the rounded pat of the letters. I also used the push/ pull tool to make the letters 3-D.

20. Wireless Phone

The wireless phone was the toughest object to create on Adobe Illustrator. To create the shape of the phone, I used the rectangle tool and rounded the edges of the rectangle. I made 3 to 4 rectangles that were slightly smaller than the one before and added different gradients to it. The screen of the phone was made using the rectangle tool as well. The buttons were made using the rounded rectangle tool as well, and like the body of the phone I made slightly smaller shapes of the buttons and added different gradients to it. I added the text like the numbers, the letters, my name, and the symbols using a font called wingding.

19. USB Drive

This project required me to use Adobe Illustrator, a program used to create computerized drawings. For the body of the USB I used the shape tool to create a rectangle and an ellipse and merged the two shapes together. I added a gradient to the body to make the drive look realistic. I created two rectangles and went to effect, warp, arc to alter the rectangles so that they could be the shapes in between the body and head of the drive. For the head of the USB, I created 3 squares with different gradients and layered them on top of one another to make it look real. I then added a rounded rectangle in the middle, applied a gradient to it, and added my name as the final touch.
